Active Energy Group PLC (AIM:AEG, OTCID:AEUSF) said it has signed a strategic distribution agreement with Fog Hashing Pte Ltd to accelerate the rollout of modular digital infrastructure across the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
The AIM-listed company said the agreement gives it distribution rights across the GCC and creates a framework for the two companies to explore a broader exclusive relationship, subject to commercial milestones and further definitive agreements.
Active Energy said the deal will give it improved access to modular infrastructure, technical support, deployment expertise and commercial purchasing terms as it builds out ultra-low-cost power-connected sites across the UAE and wider GCC region.
The company said the partnership should help reduce the time between securing grid-connected locations and deploying revenue-generating infrastructure for third-party hosting contracts, digital asset hosting, high-performance computing and future AI workloads.
Chief executive Paul Elliott said the agreement was “more than a supply agreement”, adding that the ability to rapidly deploy, redeploy and upgrade infrastructure would become increasingly important as AEG builds a regional digital infrastructure platform.
The company said the modular nature of Fog Hashing’s infrastructure could allow it to upgrade sites for next-generation AI and HPC requirements without extensive redevelopment, while also supporting its previously announced non-binding letter of intent with Bitdeer Technologies Group.
