Bradda Head Lithium Ltd (AIM:BHL, OTC:BHLIF, TSX-V:BHLI, FRA:8CD1) shares moved up, climbing 8.4% to 2.98p, after announcing that surface sampling at its Whistlejacket project in Arizona returned grades of up to 3.03% Li₂O, sharpening drill targets across the spodumene-focused lithium asset.
The North America-focused lithium developer said 18 of 60 rock samples returned more than 0.59% Li₂O, including 12 above 1.00% Li₂O. The company said the results confirmed widespread lithium mineralisation linked to spodumene-bearing pegmatites exposed at surface.
Two highly prospective target areas were identified, including a continuous pegmatite outcrop where seven consecutive samples returned elevated lithium values alongside visible spodumene crystals. Bradda said recent structural measurements suggest the outcrop may dip in the opposite direction to previous drill orientation, making it a “compelling drill-ready target” for the upcoming campaign.
Bradda has also formally established a Technical Committee with Rio Tinto subsidiary Kennecott Exploration Company to oversee and guide exploration at Whistlejacket. The committee will review technical results, budgets and exploration plans, while Bradda retains operational decision-making authority.
Further work will include around 290 planned chip samples to refine existing and newly generated drill targets, with channel sampling expected after the upcoming drill campaign.
