Regener8 Resources NL (ASX:R8R) has completed its maiden Phase 1 soil sampling program at the Srebrenica North Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, marking the company’s first fieldwork milestone since completing the acquisition of Orichalcum d.o.o.
The program covered the Zanik and Chaush prospects within the Dolovi tenement, which borders Mineco’s operating Sase lead-zinc-silver mine.
A total of 208 soil samples were collected at about 100-metre spacing along ridgelines and spurs. The work is designed to generate the first modern, systematic geochemical dataset across the prospects, ahead of further exploration.

Historical workings at Zanik
Zanik, in the south-western part of the Dolovi tenement, contains extensive medieval workings and a waste rock dump covering about 2 hectares.
Historical trench grab samples from 1975 returned grades of up to 412 g/t silver, 21.9% lead, 7.3% zinc and 0.9% antimony. Recent reconnaissance work also identified gossanous breccia veins between 1 and 3 metres wide, along with quartz veins containing visible galena-sphalerite-pyrite mineralisation.
Phase 1 sampling covered the area around the historical workings and was extended eastwards into a zone highlighted by a 1977 stream sediment result of 680 ppm lead.

Virgin target at Chaush
Chaush, in the central Dolovi tenement, is regarded as a virgin exploration target, with no evidence of historical mining despite mapped lead-zinc mineralised structures at surface.
The prospect also contains a historical magnetic anomaly that correlates with hydrothermal alteration and mapped structures.
Regener8 managing director Stephen Foley said completion of the program soon after acquisition reflected the company’s eagerness to advance Srebrenica North.
The company’s near-term focus is receiving and interpreting Phase 1 assay results. Phase 2 soil sampling and ground magnetics are planned to begin in the coming weeks.
