Phunware Inc (NASDAQ:PHUN, FRA:2RJA) said on Thursday it will exhibit at the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference in San Antonio next week, as the mobile enterprise software company named a hospitality technology veteran to lead its sales efforts and previewed new features for its Guest Intelligence Platform.
The Nasdaq-listed company appointed Brent McMahan, formerly of FLYR Hospitality, as senior director of sales. McMahan spent more than a decade in hospitality technology, most recently leading enterprise sales at FLYR Hospitality focused on AI-driven commercial solutions for hotels and hospitality groups.
Phunware said its AI Concierge module, commercially released in January 2026, is generating app engagement approximately 40% above internal forecasts. The feature offers guests a natural-language interface for navigating properties and discovering amenities and integrates with the company's blue-dot wayfinding and on-property mapping tools.
At HITEC, running from June 15 to 18, the company will demonstrate its AI Itinerary Builder, an agentic planning tool that surfaces personalized recommendations across dining, spa, and recreation to drive ancillary revenue for resort operators.
Phunware also previewed a forthcoming Location-Aware Data Layer that would integrate both AI tools to deliver real-time behavioral intelligence across the guest journey, connecting digital guest interactions to on-property revenue outcomes.
CEO Dmitry Kroshka and McMahan will attend the conference on behalf of the company.
