Sure Ventures PLC (LSE:SURE), up 8% changing hands at 37.9p on Wednesday, told investors that its portfolio company CameraMatics has completed a funding round of up to €49 million.
It is an outcome that gives the London-listed venture capital investor a cash return whilst preserving exposure to the AI-powered fleet technology company’s next phase of growth.
Sure Venture's director Gareth Burchell said the transaction “effectively returns the fund's original investment and provides additional liquidity while preserving future upside”.
The funding round was led by Blume Equity, the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and Goodbody Capital Partners.
Sure Ventures will receive around €880,000 in cash proceeds while retaining its indirect holding in CameraMatics through Sure Valley Ventures Fund 1. The proceeds comprise €560,000 from a partial repayment of SVV1’s investment in CameraMatics, alongside €320,000 from the repayment of a working capital facility in which Sure Ventures participated in July 2025. The company said the latter represents a 78% cash return on that investment.
