Critical Resources expands understanding of Mavis Lake pegmatite system
Critical Resources Ltd (ASX:CRR, FRA:9S70) has completed a 10-day surface exploration program at the Corona Target within its wholly owned Mavis Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada.
The program focused on the Corona Pegmatite Field and nearby northern target areas about 4 kilometres north of the company's existing 8.0-million-tonne resource grading 1.07% lithium oxide.
Field teams carried out systematic prospecting, geological mapping and structural data collection, generating 106 rock samples, 161 outcrop maps and 74 structural measurements. Exploration identified and sampled 14 pegmatite bodies, including 6 newly mapped occurrences, supporting the view that a broader pegmatite corridor exists north of the current resource area.
The results are expected to help refine future exploration targeting across the northern extent of the Mavis Lake project.
Askari reports strong polymetallic results from Namibia trenching
Askari Metals Ltd (ASX:AS2, FRA:7ZG) has reported what it described as outstanding Phase I trenching assay results from the K9 Pegmatite Target at its wholly owned Uis Project in Namibia.
The assays confirmed widespread mineralisation across multiple critical minerals, including tin, lithium, tantalum, rubidium and caesium, further strengthening confidence in K9 as a priority drill target.
The project is located on EPL 7345, immediately southwest of the operating Uis Tin Mine, placing Askari within one of the world's best-known hard-rock tin-lithium-tantalum districts.
Management said the results reinforce the prospectivity of the company's ground, which sits adjacent to the Uis Mine's JORC-compliant resource of 77.51 million tonnes grading 0.79% Li₂O, 0.15% tin and 82ppm tantalum. The latest trenching program adds to growing evidence of a significant polymetallic system emerging across the project area.
