LENZ Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:LENZ) said Everest Medicines has acquired the rights to develop and commercialize VIZZ, also known as LNZ100, in Greater China.
Under the agreement, Everest Medicines (HKEX:1952) takes on development and commercialization of the drug in the Greater China market, LENZ said. The New Drug Application for LNZ100 in China was submitted in September 2025, with approval anticipated in the first quarter of 2027.
Handing Greater China rights to Everest Medicines gives LENZ a regional partner already established in the Chinese pharmaceutical market to advance VIZZ through approval and launch there, while LENZ retains its other markets.
With the China NDA filed in September 2025 and approval expected in early 2027, the agreement attaches a commercialization partner ahead of a defined regulatory decision.
Licensing a single geography to a local specialist is a common route for a smaller US developer to monetize a product in a market it is not positioned to serve directly.
LENZ Therapeutics is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on eye-care treatments, led by VIZZ (LNZ100) for the treatment of presbyopia.
