SolGold (LON:SOLG) has moved a second drill rig on site at Cascabel in Ecuador as its latest drilling showed more signs of copper.
Hole twelve at the Alpala Central target has now reached a depth of around 250 metres (m( with visible copper sulphide mineralisation from 88m to 247m.
The drill also intersected diorite porphyry at 233.8m, several hundred metres shallower than expected and similar to the depth it was found in the first hole drilled at Cascabel.
SolGold added that the second rig will explore other potential porphyry centres within the greater Cascabel porphyry cluster.
The second drill is part of a strategy to delineate an 85mln tonne high grade zone with the maiden inferred resource possibly within 12 months.
SolGold may drill at total of 18,000 metres with the drill bit this year, including the second drill.
