EnWave Corp (TSX-V:ENW, OTC:NWVCF, FRA:E4U) has entered into a technology evaluation and license option agreement with Swiss Cannabis Selection AG, a Switzerland-based medical cannabis company, to evaluate its Radiant Energy Vacuum dehydration technology for potential use across cannabinoid and botanical products.
Swiss Cannabis Selection, known as SCS, is collaborating with Swiss phytopharmaceutical company Schibano Pharma AG on the evaluation program, which is expected to begin in the coming months.
Under the agreement, SCS and Schibano will assess EnWave's REV technology for its ability to process cannabinoid and botanical materials while preserving quality attributes and meeting operational and regulatory requirements.
If the evaluation is successful, SCS will have the option to enter into a commercial license agreement granting certain rights to deploy the technology.
The agreement follows a series of commercial-scale evaluations of REV technology that showed the potential to reduce overall drying time by approximately two to five days, creating opportunities for increased production throughput and reduced dry-room occupancy. Independent testing across multiple cannabis cultivars found no statistically significant differences in sensory quality compared to conventionally dried samples, no meaningful impact on cannabinoid potency, no material change in total yeast and mold counts, and generally stable terpene profiles.
