Cordiant Digital Infrastructure to join FTSE 250

Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Ltd (LSE:CORD, FRA:86L), the largest specialist digital infrastructure investor on the London Stock Exchange, will be admitted to the FTSE 250 Index on 22 June.

The company, which listed on the LSE in February 2021, said inclusion in the mid-cap index was a significant milestone since its IPO five years ago.

Chairman Shonaid Jemmett-Page said the company expected index membership to broaden its institutional investor base, improve share liquidity and raise its profile among a wider range of market participants.

She added that the development reflected the board's confidence in the quality and resilience of its underlying assets and the long-term opportunity within the digital infrastructure sector.

The FTSE 250 tracks the 101st to 350th largest companies by market capitalisation listed in London and is widely used as a benchmark by institutional fund managers, many of whom are required or incentivised to hold constituent stocks.

Admission to the index typically generates automatic buying from tracker funds and exchange-traded funds that replicate its composition.
