CrowdStrike tops Q1 estimates, authorizes 4-for-1 stock split

CrowdStrike Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:CRWD) reported first quarter results after the market close on Wednesday, topping Wall Street expectations for both revenue and earnings while announcing a four-for-one stock split.

The cybersecurity company posted revenue of $1.39 billion, up 26% from $1.1 billion a year earlier and above analyst estimates of $1.36 billion. Subscription revenue rose 26% year-over-year to $1.32 billion.

On an adjusted basis, CrowdStrike earned $1.10 per diluted share, exceeding the consensus estimate of $1.07 and improving from $0.73 in the prior-year quarter.

Annual recurring revenue (ARR), a closely watched metric for software companies, increased 24% year-over-year to $5.51 billion as of April 30, 2026, with net new ARR of $255.8 million added during the quarter.

The company also raised its FY27 net new ARR growth guidance by 520 basis points at the midpoint, now expecting net new ARR growth of 27.7% at the midpoint, up from prior expectations and representing an acceleration over the prior fiscal year.

“In Q1, the worlds of cybersecurity and frontier AI collided: this was the Mythos moment. CrowdStrike is AI security infrastructure, critical to successful AI adoption,” the company’s CEO George Kurtz said in a statement.

“Our record Q1 net new ARR, QuiltWorks coalition, and AIDR innovation are indicators of our own AI inflection point.”

In addition to its quarterly results, CrowdStrike announced that its board of directors approved a four-for-one stock split in the form of a stock dividend. Shareholders of record as of the close of business on June 25, 2026, will receive three additional shares for every share held, with distribution scheduled after market close on July 1, 2026. Trading on a split-adjusted basis is expected to begin on July 2, 2026.

CrowdStrike shares fell about 8% in afterhours trading, with the move largely attributed to profit-taking following a strong recent run-up in the stock, which added about 60% over the last month.
