Trust Stamp Inc (NASDAQ:IDAI, ISE:AIID) announced that Ridgedale Federal Credit Union has selected the company to provide identity authentication services through the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators' Driver’s License Data Verification (DLDV) system.
Under the integration, Ridgedale FCU will be able to automatically verify driver’s licenses presented during account openings and certain high-risk transactions. According to Trust Stamp, the DLDV service validates license information in real time against records maintained by the issuing government agency, rather than relying solely on checks of a physical document’s security features.
The technology is intended to strengthen fraud prevention efforts by helping detect fraudulent identities and forged identification documents that may not be identified through traditional manual or optical verification methods.
Trust Stamp president Andrew Gowasack said the partnership expands access to identity verification tools that have historically been used primarily by larger financial institutions.
“At Trust Stamp, we believe that every institution, regardless of size, deserves the confidence that comes with government-backed identity verification,” Gowasack said.
“By bringing this technology to the Credit Union and small and medium businesses (SMBs) markets, we are leveling the playing field against sophisticated identity thieves.”
Linda Rheiner, Ridgedale FCU CEO, said the credit union selected the technology to enhance member security while maintaining a streamlined verification process.
“Having direct access to DMV data verification gives us a level of certainty that is essential in today’s digital-first banking environment,” Rheiner said.
The agreement aligns with Trust Stamp’s broader strategy of offering enterprise-level identity verification and fraud prevention tools to smaller organizations, the company said, adding that its low-code orchestration platform is designed to enable institutions to deploy services such as DLDV without significant technology infrastructure investments.
