Shares in Active Energy Group PLC (AIM:AEG, OTCID:AEUSF) rose 7.3% to 0.11p after it said its management has been invited to meet senior officials from the Bahrain Economic Development Board at a forthcoming industry event in London.
The digital infrastructure and energy specialist expects to hold discussions with Musab Abdulla, Executive Director of ICT at the Bahrain EDB, covering digital infrastructure growth across the Gulf region and potential opportunities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting forms part of a wider event organised in partnership with the Gulf Data Centre Alliance, bringing together investors, operators, and government stakeholders from across the GCC digital infrastructure sector.
Active Energy describes Bahrain as an attractive market, citing its regulatory environment, rising demand for digital infrastructure, and its position within the broader GCC ecosystem.
The company established its initial operational footprint in the United Arab Emirates and is evaluating further regional expansion through modular digital infrastructure solutions and local partnerships.
The board cautioned that discussions remain at an early stage and there is no certainty that any commercial arrangements will result from the engagement.
Active Energy views participation in such events as a component of its broader GCC growth strategy.
