OMG Group lifts net sales 57% as ecommerce and matcha strategy gains momentum

OMG Group Ltd (ASX:OMG) has delivered a strong fourth-quarter trading update, with net sales on a moving annual total (MAT) basis reaching about $6.2 million to May 2026, up 57% on the prior corresponding period.

The result builds on the $6 million MAT milestone reported at the end of the March quarter and reflects continued growth across the company’s Blue Dinosaur, Oat Milk Goodness and matcha platforms.

May 2026 was one of the company’s strongest trading months on record, with net sales of about $650,000, up 75% on the previous corresponding period.

FY26 year-to-date net sales to May reached about $5.7 million, compared with about $3.6 million a year earlier.

Ecommerce driving growth

Ecommerce remained OMG Group’s fastest-growing channel, with MAT net sales reaching about $2.4 million to May 2026, up 87% from about $1.3 million in the prior corresponding period.

May ecommerce sales were about $287,000, representing a 132% increase on the previous corresponding period.

The company said the result reflected stronger brand recognition, repeat purchasing and targeted digital marketing, with the online channel continuing to scale.

Blue Dinosaur expands in New Zealand

OMG Group has also secured a national ranging agreement for Blue Dinosaur with Chemist Warehouse New Zealand through ANZ Pharma.

The agreement gives the brand access to a new international retail channel and complements its existing grocery, petrol and convenience, food service and ecommerce distribution.

CEO Alex Aleksic said the company was entering FY27 with a broader distribution footprint, growing ecommerce scale and a matcha platform moving from launch phase into commercial fulfilment.

Matcha platform moves into fulfilment

OMG Group’s first shipment of ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha under its exclusive 5-year SANDAI Group supply agreement has arrived in Australia.

The shipment enables commercial fulfilment across distribution and ingredient supply channels, including Food & Dairy Co and The Little Marionette.

It follows earlier airfreight deliveries of ceremonial-grade matcha already being used by customers including The Little Marionette and House of Matcha.

What’s next

OMG Group will focus on scaling its matcha platform into FY27, while continuing to expand Blue Dinosaur’s retail footprint and build on ecommerce momentum.

The company also showcased Omura Matcha at the Café & Coffee Show in Sydney, targeting café owners, baristas, hospitality buyers and food service decision-makers as it seeks to grow brand awareness and distribution opportunities.
