Snail Inc (NASDAQ:SNAL) marked the 11th anniversary of its ARK franchise on Tuesday, highlighting recent sales and player engagement metrics while outlining a multi-year content roadmap aimed at extending the franchise's lifespan.
The company reported that during the first quarter of 2026, ARK: Survival Evolved (ASE) sold approximately 573,000 units, while ARK: Survival Ascended (ASA) sold about 1.4 million units worldwide.
Player activity also remained strong during the quarter, according to the company. ASE reached a peak daily active user (DAU) count of 143,000, while ASA recorded a peak DAU of 188,000.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, ARK co-founder and co-creator Jeremy Stieglitz is scheduled to appear at IGN Live in Los Angeles on June 6, where he is expected to discuss upcoming expansions for the franchise.
Snail Games stated that it continues to invest in premium content designed to support long-term player engagement and recurring revenue opportunities.
The company noted that the ARK franchise, originally launched in 2015, has expanded across multiple titles, platforms and downloadable content releases over the past decade.
The latest initiative, ARK Fantastic Tames Season 1, launched in May, with the Burrowback creature available at release. Additional content is planned later this year, including Cerberax in the third quarter and Enigmasaur in the fourth quarter.
According to Snail Games, a May 2026 promotional sale for ARK: Survival Ascended resulted in a 23.5-fold increase in average daily unit sales compared with the immediately preceding non-sale period. The company said the staggered release schedule for Fantastic Tames is intended to maintain player engagement between larger content launches.
Looking ahead, Snail Games outlined several upcoming projects for ARK: Survival Ascended. Planned releases include the ARK: Tides of Fortune downloadable content (DLC) and the ARK: Genesis Part 1 Remake DLC remake in June 2026, followed by ARK: Dragontopia in December.
Additional projects scheduled for 2026 include ARK: World Creators and ARK: Survival of the Fittest, a new game mode. For 2027, the company's roadmap includes DLC releases titled ARK: Atlantis, ARK: Galaxy Wars, and ARK: Legacy of Santiago.
Snail Games stated that ongoing player engagement and the planned content pipeline position ARK as a long-term component of its business and one of its core gaming franchises.
