Inspiration Healthcare Group PLC (AIM:IHC) shares were on the back foot on Tuesday, falling 5% to 26.64p, after it announced it will transfer its non-core UK distribution business for Micrel infusion products as the medical technology group sharpens its focus on neonatal care and targets a reduction in debt.
The AIM-listed company has entered a framework agreement with Micrel Medical Devices SA for Micrel to take full control of UK sales and distribution from 31 January 2027.
Inspiration has been the exclusive UK distributor of Micrel’s ambulatory infusion pumps and related consumables since 2011. The products generated unaudited revenue of £9.7 million in the year ended 31 January 2026, at a contribution margin of about 25%.
The group will continue to manage and sell the products during the transition period, meaning it expects no impact on revenue or gross profit estimates for the current financial year. Employees responsible for the products will transfer to Micrel under TUPE from 1 July 2026.
Micrel will also buy back unsold inventory at the final transfer date and make a compensation payment to Inspiration for the orderly transition and goodwill built up during its tenure as UK distributor.
