Cambridge Cognition teams up with smart ring firm ŌURA for brain health study

Cambridge Cognition Holdings PLC (AIM:COG) has teamed up with smart ring maker ŌURA to launch a large-scale brain health study that will put its cognitive assessments in front of up to 45,000 Oura members.

The AIM-listed neuroscience technology company said the IRB-approved study, run through Oura Labs, will combine Cambridge Cognition’s CANTAB Pathway assessments with continuous wearable data from Oura Ring.

Participants will complete short in-app cognitive tasks, specifically CANTAB One and CANTAB Insight, alongside monitoring of sleep, activity, stress and physiological measurements during the remote observational programme, which runs through 2026.

The study is designed to explore how everyday patterns in rest, recovery, activity and behaviour may relate to cognitive function and performance over time, while also testing engagement with consumer-integrated cognitive assessments.

Chief executive Rob Baker said the partnership gives Cambridge Cognition a route to expand CANTAB Pathway “into broader healthcare and consumer applications”.

It follows Cambridge Cognition’s earlier Project Intuition programme, a 23,000-participant remote cognitive assessment study conducted with Biogen and Apple.

Cambridge Cognition shares jumped around 14% after the collaboration news, rising to 38.89p.
