Aruma Resources managing director Grant Ferguson talked with Proactive about the company’s completed Phase 1 diamond drilling campaign at the Till copper-silver project in the Timmins mining district of Ontario, Canada. Ferguson said the company completed approximately 1,100 metres of diamond drilling following the acquisition of the project earlier this year, with the work designed to refine geological understanding, collect metallurgical samples and improve targeting ahead of a larger second drilling phase.
Ferguson explained that the drilling program confirmed Aruma Resources can operate at the project year-round, even through winter conditions, which he described as an important milestone for future development activities. He also highlighted the project’s location in the highly regarded Timmins mining region, close to existing copper mining operations and processing infrastructure.
Aruma Resources expects assay results from the Phase 1 program to be returned during June. The upcoming Phase 2 drilling campaign will be significantly larger and focused on extending mineralisation to the southwest.
The company also noted historical drilling returned some bonanza-grade silver intersections, with silver expected to contribute additional value to the project economics.
