Vista Group wins 5-year Cinemex agreement for Mexican circuit

Vista Group International Ltd (ASX:VGL, OTC:VGLIF) has signed a 5-year agreement with Cinemex to transition the exhibitor’s Mexican cinema circuit back to Vista Group.

Cinemex is Mexico’s second-largest exhibitor, operating 289 sites with more than 2,800 screens across over 100 cities. The company also operates 23 sites and more than 300 screens in the United States.

The agreement follows the successful transition of Cinemex’s US circuit to Vista Group during 2025.

Under the new contract, Cinemex’s Mexican circuit will initially go live on Vista Group’s on-premises solution and Vista Cloud’s Data Empowerment capability during 2026.

The parties will regularly review a transition of the circuit to full Operational Excellence over the 5-year term.

Vista Group signs 6-year Cinépolis cloud deal for Mexican circuit

Vista recently signed a 6-year agreement with Cinépolis to transition its Mexican cinema circuit to Vista Cloud Operational Excellence.

The agreement covers Cinépolis’ largest global circuit, comprising 504 sites and more than 4,100 screens across Mexico.

Commercial terms are scheduled to begin on January 1, 2026, with the transition expected to take place during 2026.

The deal follows the successful migration of Cinépolis’ Cine Yelmo circuit in Spain to Vista Cloud’s Digital Enablement and Operational Excellence capabilities across 2024 and 2025.

For Vista, the Mexican agreement represents a significant expansion of its cloud platform within Cinépolis, one of the world’s largest cinema exhibitors by ticket sales and attendance per auditorium.

Vista has also secured an agreement with existing client Regal Cineworld Group to transition 88 Cineworld sites and more than 950 screens in the UK to Vista Cloud’s Digital Enablement capability.

The rollout is expected during 2026 and follows the successful transition of 25 Picturehouse Cinemas sites to Digital Enablement during 2025.
