Games Workshop Group PLC (LSE:GAW) shares jumped 3.1% to 19,640p early Friday on the back of an upbeat trading update.
Without providing further details, the Warhammer maker said core revenue for the 52 weeks ending 31 May 2026 is expected to be not less than £625 million. This compares with £565 million in the prior year.
Licensing revenue is expected to be not less than £30 million versus £52.5 million in 2024/25. Profit before taxation is estimated to be not less than £265 million. This compares with £262.8 million in the previous financial year.
The results for the year to end-May 2026 are scheduled for release on 28 July.
Games Workshop designs, manufactures and sells fantasy miniatures and related products through its Warhammer brands.
Peel Hunt noted: "The company has delivered a strong performance and is well set for another good year."
The broker repeated its 'buy' recommendation and target price of 22,000p, pointing out the stock currently trades on 33 times forward earnings - a pretty heady valuation.
