Imugene managing director Dr Leslie Chong talked with Proactive about the company’s latest advancements in its allogeneic CAR-T therapy platform, Azer-Cel, and the growing clinical data supporting its potential in difficult-to-treat blood cancers.
The company has reported strong clinical results in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, including an 81% response rate in heavily pre-treated patients. Imugene also announced encouraging preliminary data from its second patient cohort, involving individuals who had not previously received approved CAR-T therapies.
Chong also highlighted the significance of Imugene securing an oral presentation slot at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) conference, describing it as recognition within a highly competitive global oncology field.
