Regenerative med-tech Tissue Regenix (LON:TRX) has agreed an additional regional distribution agreement in the US for its skin graft product DermaPure.
The agreement is for one of twelve states covered by Novitas, one of the administrators of Medicare, the US health system for the elderly.
Approval by a Medicare administrator mean doctors and hospitals receive reimbursement for using the product. Dermapure was approved by Novitas earlier this year.
This latest regional partnership is expected to be worth a minimum of $135,000 over the next 12 months and follows an earlier agreement for two states expected to be worth a minimum of US$600,000.
Tissue Regenix currently has Medicare coverage in 30 US states and said regional partnerships are part of a 'hybrid' distribution strategy of utilising both direct and indirect sales.
All told, Dermapure is now available to 20.7mln Medicare beneficiaries across 30 states.
Antony Odell, chief executive, said: "2015 has been a seminal year for DermaPure in the United States and this is credit to the hard work being undertaken by our regional team.”
He added he was confident it would both increase Medicare coverage and add more distributor agreements.
