Dalaroo Metals Ltd (ASX:DAL) earlier this week announced the completion of a large-scale systematic soil geochemistry program across the Gold Ridge Prospect within the company’s Bondoukou Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, marking a significant step toward maiden drilling.
Speaking with Proactive, managing director and CEO John Morgan said the company had completed district-scale geochemical coverage across an interpreted 9-kilometre mineralised corridor spanning both the Priority 1 south-eastern block and the Priority 2 north-western block.
Morgan said more than 4,300 samples had now been submitted for laboratory analysis, with drilling preparations already underway. He noted that Dalaroo’s in-country team was engaging drilling contractors while also progressing access agreements with local villages ahead of maiden drilling activities.
According to Morgan, observations from the field program had strengthened confidence in the company’s geological model. He said widespread artisanal workings, alteration and quartz veining had been identified across the project area, supporting the strike potential of the mineralised corridor.
“We really envision ourselves starting to prepare for drilling within the next few weeks,” Morgan told Proactive.
The upcoming soil assay results and maiden reverse circulation drilling program are expected to serve as key catalysts for investors over the coming months. Morgan indicated that successful drill results could lead to follow-up drilling campaigns as the company advances the broader district-scale opportunity.
Beyond Côte d’Ivoire, Dalaroo is also progressing exploration activities in Greenland, where the company is awaiting final approval for additional licences around the Blue Lagoon project. Morgan said the approvals were currently before the relevant minister and were expected to be signed off in the coming weeks.
Once approvals are finalised, Dalaroo plans to commence exploration activities in Greenland from late June through to mid-July.
The company recently strengthened its balance sheet through a $1.75 million capital raising supported by sophisticated and institutional investors. Morgan said the funding would support both the Bondoukou gold exploration campaign and the company’s critical minerals activities in Greenland.
Importantly, directors participated in the raising, which Morgan said demonstrated internal confidence in Dalaroo’s upcoming exploration catalysts and growth strategy.
Morgan said Dalaroo’s broader objective remained the creation of shareholder value through the advancement of district-scale opportunities across multiple jurisdictions.

Proactive: Dalaroo Metals has completed a large-scale systematic soil geochemistry program across the Gold Ridge Prospect within its Bondoukou Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, marking a key step toward maiden drilling. Here to discuss the latest news and the work being done in Greenland is CEO John Morgan. John, it’s nice to meet you.
John Morgan: Nice to meet you, Jonathan.
Proactive: Let’s start with the company. Can you talk us through exactly what Dalaroo Metals does and where it is positioned?
John Morgan: We’re transitioning into a multi-jurisdiction exploration company with exposure to both gold and critical minerals. We’re focused on two key growth areas: Côte d’Ivoire for gold and Greenland for critical minerals. What differentiates Dalaroo is that we’re not just chasing isolated targets. We’re trying to build district-scale opportunities supported by good geology, systematic exploration methodology and strong in-country capability.
Proactive: Let’s start with Côte d’Ivoire. You’ve completed district-scale soil coverage across an interpreted 9-kilometre Gold Ridge corridor. Talk us through that milestone and what it means for the project’s scale potential.
John Morgan: At Bondoukou, we’ve got a 9-kilometre target area. We’ve just finished our soil sampling program, which leads us into the next step: drilling. We’ve completed more than 4,300 samples, which are now in the lab. The team in-country is talking to drilling companies and getting access agreements sorted with the local villages. We really envision ourselves starting to prepare for drilling within the next few weeks.
Proactive: You identified widespread alteration, quartz veining and artisanal workings across both priority areas. Talk us through those observations and how they strengthen the exploration model ahead of drilling.
John Morgan: Across our package, we’ve got extensive artisanal workings. While carrying out the soil campaigns around and along strike of these artisanal workings, there was strong alteration noticed in the soil sampling. That gives us confidence in the strike potential, and that’s what we’re building our geological model from.
Proactive: With 4,363 samples submitted for analysis, what should investors be watching for over the coming months as Dalaroo moves toward drill-ready targets and maiden RC drilling?
John Morgan: The news flow over the next few months at Bondoukou will be soil results, then drilling, and then hopefully some strong drill results. From there, we would move into further drilling campaigns to follow that up.
Proactive: There’s also plenty happening in Greenland. Last week, Dalaroo had licence approvals close there. Talk us through what is happening.
John Morgan: We’re in the final stages of getting our exploration permits sorted for Greenland. That follows the licence approvals we applied for, including three additional licence approvals around the Blue Lagoon project. They’re now sitting in front of the minister, so we expect to see them signed off over the next few weeks. That will be followed by our exploration program, which should start near the end of June and run through to mid-July. We’re really keen to get over to Greenland and start following up some of the exploration hits we’ve got.
Proactive: Dalaroo also recently raised $1.75 million to help fund this work. Talk us through what that funding does for the company.
John Morgan: We raised $1.75 million, which was well supported by sophisticated and institutional investors. It gives us the ability to really go after the Côte d’Ivoire opportunities and also advance our Greenland exploration play. Importantly, a few of the directors participated, showing strong internal confidence in the company and the upcoming catalysts we have. That includes maiden drilling at Bondoukou, offshore exploration in Greenland, auger drilling, trenching and target generation on our other projects as well. We’ve got a lot going on, and that money helps across all of our projects.
Proactive: Finally, when investors are looking at Dalaroo Metals, what are they looking at?
John Morgan: They’re looking at a company focused on growing shareholder value. In Côte d’Ivoire, we think we’re in a strong jurisdiction and a good position. We’re constantly looking for other projects and opportunities within Côte d’Ivoire. In Greenland, we also think we’ve got a strong project, and we’ll look to increase that in size and opportunity. We’ve also got key people in the company looking at other opportunities to continue growing shareholder value.
Proactive: John, plenty to look forward to over the coming months. Thanks for your time this morning and good luck with it all.
John Morgan: Thanks, Jonathan. Much appreciated.
