Rome Resources set for key Bisie insights as it looks forward to airborne survey

Rome Resources Plc (AIM:RMR, FRA:33R) is taking part in an airborne geophysical survey across the greater Bisie tin district in the Democratic Republic of Congo, aiming to sharpen its next phase of exploration work at Bisie North.

The AIM-listed tin and copper explorer said more than 600km of helicopter-borne geophysical data is planned across its two licences, with the programme to be flown by Geotech Ltd at 100m line spacing.

The survey will use a VTEM Plus full-waveform time-domain electromagnetic sensor alongside a caesium magnetometer.

Rome said the work is expected to help calibrate geophysical anomalies on its ground with those of nearby producing mines, while also identifying and prioritising additional tin exploration targets.

It is also expected to better define the tin granite contact to the south of Rome’s licence areas.

Chief executive Paul Barrett said the survey would provide “critical data” to guide plans for the next phase of drilling at Kalayi and Mont Agoma, alongside assays from the recently completed Kalayi campaign and a forthcoming updated mineral resource estimate.

Pre-survey flight testing began in the southern area on 11 May, and its expected to move onto Rome Resources’ licences in late May.
