Small Cap Watch: Atomic Eagle expands uranium zone, RMI prepares Tanzania drilling, Anteris advances DurAVR trial

Small caps are navigating another uneven session as hotter US inflation data and rising bond yields pressure technology stocks, while surging copper and oil prices continue to drive interest back toward resources and energy-linked plays.

That divergence remains front and centre in today’s small-cap news flow, with fresh drilling, uranium expansion and clinical trial momentum all featuring prominently.

Atomic Eagle expands higher-grade uranium footprint

Atomic Eagle Ltd (ASX:AEU, FRA:6QZ0) has extended the higher-grade south-west zone at its Chisebuka target within the Muntanga uranium project in Zambia, with 13 of the first 15 holes intersecting mineralisation outside the existing resource area.

Standout results included 12.7 metres at 673ppm eU₃O₈ and 24 metres at 448ppm eU₃O₈, with the current drilling campaign aimed at growing the existing 9.7Mlb uranium resource and refining additional regional targets.

RMI locks in June drilling start at Mpanda

Resource Minerals International Ltd (ASX:RMI) will begin a 2,500-metre reverse circulation drilling campaign at its Mpanda copper-gold project in Tanzania in early June after securing a drilling contractor.

The program will target multiple structurally controlled copper-gold prospects identified through magnetic surveys, soil geochemistry and historical artisanal workings, with recent funding also supporting parallel exploration work in Saudi Arabia.

Anteris pushes ahead with global heart valve rollout in Q1

Anteris Technologies Pty Ltd (ASX:AVR, NASDAQ:AVR) used its first-quarter results to highlight continued progress across the global PARADIGM trial and broader commercialisation plans for its DurAVR transcatheter heart valve system.

The structural heart company noted ongoing patient recruitment, the commencement of US enrolment post-quarter, and the completion of US$320 million in capital raisings earlier this year to support execution of the trial and advance the device towards commercial launch.
