1911 Gold Corp (TSX-V:AUMB, OTCQB:AUMBF, FRA:2KY) has reported assay results from its underground resource expansion drill program at the True North Gold Project in southeast Manitoba, with drilling intersecting gold mineralization beyond the boundaries of the project’s 2024 mineral resource estimate.
The latest results cover 12 underground drill holes totaling 3,608 metres at the L10 Zone, located adjacent to Level 16 of the True North Mine, approximately 720 metres below surface. The program targeted extensions of mineralized veins outside the current resource estimate.
According to the company, drilling intersected gold mineralization on the V-1010, V-1012, V-1020, V-1030 and V-1040 veins and may indicate a connection between the L10 Zone and the larger 710-711 Zone at depth. The company said drilling completed to date has potentially extended mineralization by up to 160 metres down-plunge and up to 80 metres along strike.
Highlighted assay results included hole UG16-26-055, which intersected 5.48 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 9.2 metres, including 12 g/t gold over 2 metres and 14.8 g/t gold over 1 metre. The same hole also returned 11.54 g/t gold over 3.7 metres, including 20.2 g/t gold over 0.7 metres.
Additional results included hole UG16-25-002, which returned 3 g/t gold over 7.2 metres, while hole UG16-25-016 returned several higher-grade intervals, including 22.1 g/t gold over 0.6 metres. Hole UG16-26-050 intersected 8.1 g/t gold over 1.4 metres, and hole UG16-25-001 returned 9.78 g/t gold over 0.5 metres.
The company said 11 of the 12 reported holes intersected high-grade gold mineralization with potential to expand existing resources and identify new parallel veins.
Drilling on the V-1010 vein extended mineralization up to 60 metres beyond the current resource estimate, while drilling on the V-1020 and V-1012 veins confirmed extensions up to 160 metres below the 2024 resource model. The company stated that the results support the possibility of a connection between the L10 and 710-711 vein systems, which it identified as a target for further resource expansion.
The L10 Zone currently hosts indicated resources of 363,000 tonnes grading 4.99 g/t gold for 67,000 ounces, and inferred resources of 479,000 tonnes grading 3.96 g/t gold for 61,000 ounces. The adjacent 710-711 Zone hosts indicated resources of 1.18 million tonnes grading 5.21 g/t gold for 198,000 ounces, along with inferred resources of 938,000 tonnes grading 3.91 g/t gold for 118,000 ounces.
"We are very excited with the early success of the resource expansion drilling at True North, with the latest results intersecting significant and continuous gold mineralization up to 160 m down-plunge of our 2024 mineral resource estimate,” 1911 Gold CEO Shaun Heinrichs said in a statement.
“Our ongoing exploration programs continue to test the new targets and highlight areas that could significantly add to the resource growth at True North, potentially increasing production and extending the mine life.”
The ongoing underground exploration program is targeting extensions of the existing resource as well as new near-mine targets, including the San Antonio Mine West, San Antonio Mine Southeast and Shore targets.
The 2026 underground drill program is expected to total more than 50,000 metres, including infill and delineation drilling for areas anticipated in the preliminary economic assessment mine plan.
Two underground drill rigs are currently operating on Level 16, with a third expected to arrive in the coming weeks and a fourth planned once Level 26 rehabilitation is completed.
The company also said a surface exploration program on the SAM W, SAM SE and Shore targets, which began in February 2026, is nearing completion. Results from those programs are expected to support a planned global resource update later this year.
“We currently have two drill rigs underground, with a third to be mobilized in the coming weeks to support the ongoing drill program, which is focused on infill and delineation drilling on areas that are included in the first years of mining within the PEA mine plan, as well as exploration drilling on new targets and resource expansion opportunities,” Heinrichs said.
The exploration drilling results will support a global resource update expected later in the year, Heinrichs added.
