Seeing Machines lands $3.8m order from autonomous driving customer

Seeing Machines Ltd (AIM:SEE, OTC:SEEMF, FRA:M2Z), the computer vision company, has received a $3.8 million order for its Guardian backup-driver monitoring system from a leading North American autonomous driving company.

The order builds on an existing relationship and reflects the customer's expansion of its test fleet beyond the United States as development accelerates across the autonomous ride-hailing sector.

Seeing Machines' Guardian system provides human oversight for autonomous fleets, monitoring backup drivers who remain a requirement for most commercial deployments of self-driving technology.

The company established its Future Mobility Group in January 2026 to support the safe progression of autonomous transport, drawing on its existing expertise in driver and occupant monitoring.

Paul McGlone, chief executive, said the follow-on order reinforced the company's position as a trusted partner to leading autonomous driving programmes.

He added that the order reflected increasing momentum in the aftermarket division, with fourth-quarter Guardian revenue for financial year 2026 already exceeding the total delivered in the third quarter.

Seeing Machines designs AI-powered monitoring systems used across the transport sector to improve safety, with its technology tracking driver alertness and attention in both conventional and autonomous vehicles.
