Standard Uranium begins drilling at Davidson River uranium project - ICYMI

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF, FRA:9SU0) CEO Jon Bey talked with Proactive about the company’s upcoming return to its flagship Davidson River uranium project, where drilling is set to begin in the coming weeks after several years of technical preparation and exploration work.

Proactive: Welcome back inside our Proactive newsroom. Joining me now is Jon Bey, CEO of Standard Uranium. Jon, good to see you again. How are you?

Jon Bey: I am great. How are you doing?

I'm doing very well. A couple of things I want to talk to you about. First off, I know you've been excited to get back to your flagship Davidson River project, and now that’s happening.

Yeah, it’s been four years in the making. The last time we drilled it was 2022. We’ve been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, especially in 2025, and news was out today that we’re heading back. Everything’s lined up and we’ll be on site in about three weeks from now.

You’ve used some modern geophysics to really hone in on targets like Warrior, Bronco and Thunderbird.

Some investors and followers know we drilled Davidson in 2022 using conductor targets identified through ZTEM and VTEM geophysics. But the one thing we were missing was gravity data. We tried different ways to get proper gravity information and couldn’t figure it out until last year.

We met a group called Fleet Space from Australia. They brought a new technology to the basin involving a multiphysics program that combined two types of passive seismic with gravity surveying at the same time. By doing that, we were able to pull back the overburden and get proper gravity data on the Davidson River project.

If readers look at today’s news release, there’s a map showing gravity lows over top of the conductors. Those make great drill targets. Our geologists are very excited to get back and start drilling those in a few weeks.

You’re also planning to maximize drilling with two rigs operating simultaneously.

That’s the plan. We’ll have two rigs on site. The first one is already there, and the second will arrive at the end of this month. Drilling will start at the end of May and continue through June, July and August.

There will be lots of drilling and lots of news flow. We’ll also have our videographer on site providing weekly updates to show investors what’s happening at the drills and hopefully some readings right from the core at the drill site.

At the same time, you’ve continued work on your other projects, including Rocas.

Yes. News came out yesterday regarding Rocas. We had two drill programs going simultaneously, which was challenging. We completed the Corvo project a few weeks ago, while Rocas continued until recently. The drill core has now gone for assay work, and we expect those results back in a few months.

Both programs were completed on time and on budget with encouraging results, and we’re looking forward to sharing assay results with investors.

It sounds like this could be a very exciting year for the company.

Davidson River is the flagship for a reason. We built the company around this project because it has huge potential. We’re located near NexGen Energy’s Rook I project, which recently received final permits to begin construction, and Paladin Energy’s Triple R project is in between us.

These rocks are phenomenal. It’s a great location and we have a massive land package at Davidson River. We haven’t been back there for four years, and we couldn’t be more excited to get the drills spinning again. There’s going to be a lot of news coming from the site.

Great to see you again, Jon. Thanks very much.

You too. Take care.
