Union Jack Oil PLC (AIM:UJO, OTCQB:UJOGF, FRA:1UJ0) said drilling has started at the Crossroads Well in Oklahoma, putting the AIM-quoted explorer on a short timeline to the next operational readout from its US portfolio.
The small-cap oil and gas company said it had been informed by operator Reach Oil and Gas that the well was spudded on 5 May 2026.
Drilling is expected to take around 10 days, Union Jack said.
The London-listed firm holds a 43% interest in the project, and noted that its share of drilling costs is funded from existing cash resources.
