Light Science Technologies wins first Injectaclad order since acquisition

Light Science Technologies Holdings PLC (AIM:LST, FRA:9FD), the AIM-listed technology and manufacturing business, has secured its first order as a supplier of Injectaclad, a fire-resistant graphite barrier system used in cladding remediation, weeks after acquiring the product's owner.

The contract, confirmed by one of the company's approved installation contractors, covers approximately £410,000 of Injectaclad material to be delivered over a 19-week project on a five-storey residential building in East Yorkshire, with work scheduled to begin in early May 2026.

The company completed its acquisition of RLUK Injection Ltd, the former owner and supplier of Injectaclad, on 14 April 2026.

Before the acquisition, LSTH operated solely as an accredited Injectaclad installer; the deal was designed to move the company up the value chain by also becoming a material supplier to the network of 11 quality-accredited contractors licensed to carry out installations.

Within two weeks of completing the deal, the company says it has secured product commitments from five of those 11 contractors.

All revenue from the East Yorkshire project, approximately £410,000, is expected to be recognised in the current financial year, subject to the project progressing as planned.

Chief executive Simon Deacon said the PFP (passive fire protection) division was gaining visibility and was well placed to secure projects that would otherwise require full facade removal, delivering cost savings and reducing disruption for residents.

The Building Safety Regulator, the body overseeing cladding remediation programmes in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster, continues to push for faster completion of remediation work, a backdrop the company believes will support demand for its product.
