Far East Gold Shane Menere talked with Proactive about the company’s updated independent Inferred JORC Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) at the Idenburg Gold Project, which now stands at 7.8 million tonnes at an average grade of 3.1 g/t gold, representing 780,000 ounces.
Menere explained that the updated estimate represents a 44% increase and marks a “material step change for the project,” highlighting the company’s success in growing the resource from zero to 780,000 ounces. He noted that much of this growth has come from drilling at a single prospect, demonstrating both scale and geological continuity across the system.
The discussion also focused on the transition from exploration to development.
With a scoping study already underway and expected in the near term, Far East Gold is beginning to define the development pathway while continuing to explore the largely untested district.
