Accesso Technology names Lee Cowie as new CEO

Accesso Technology Group PLC (LSE:ACSO, OTC:LOQPF, FRA:LQG) has handed the chief executive role to Lee Cowie, completing a long-planned succession at the attractions and venues technology specialist.

Cowie, who joined the AIM-listed company in January 2025 as chief operating officer, has also been appointed as an executive director. Steve Brown has stepped down as chief executive and as a director, though he will remain available to the board and Cowie for a period following the transition.

The company said Cowie had joined under a structured succession plan and had spent the past year working across the group’s teams, customers and operations.

His brief has included direct responsibility for the operational execution of accesso’s 2026 priorities, including the transformation of its commercial execution operation, expansion of its payments business and its AI strategy.

Cowie previously served as chief technology officer at Merlin Entertainments, where he provided technology leadership to more than 125 visitor attractions across 28 countries.

Chairman Bill Russell said the appointment followed a “deliberate succession process”, adding that Cowie brought attractions technology experience, operational leadership and “a clear understanding of the opportunity ahead”.
