Helium One Global Ltd (AIM:HE1, OTCQB:HLOGF, FRA:9K3) has appointed Clive Carver as non-executive chairman as the helium explorer moves into its next phase across projects in Tanzania and the US.
Carver joins with immediate effect, replacing James Smith, who has stepped down after serving on the board since Helium One’s IPO in 2020 and as non-executive chairman since August 2023.
The company said Smith’s tenure covered several milestones, including Helium One’s AIM listing, the first helium discovery at the southern Rukwa project, the award of Tanzania’s first helium mining licence and the farm-in to the Galactica-Pegasus helium development project in Colorado.
Carver is an experienced public-company chairman and non-executive director, with roles across AIM companies and direct experience in oil and gas, oilfield services and mining. He is currently chairman of Caspian Sunrise PLC and Built Cybernetics PLC.
Chief executive Lorna Blaisse said Carver brings “very extensive expertise in both the capital markets and resources arena”, while Carver said he was joining at “a pivotal stage” for the company amid “heightened interest in the international helium market”.
