MustGrow Biologics Corp. (TSX-V:MGRO, OTCQB:MGROF, FRA:0C0) said Tuesday it has received registration approval from the Georgia Department of Agriculture for its mustard plant-based TerraSante organic biofertility product, expanding the company's commercial footprint in the southeastern US.
The Georgia organic certification falls under MustGrow's existing Organic OMRI Listed certifications, which also cover Florida, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington State.
TerraSante is now registered and approved for sale in California, Florida, Georgia, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington State.
TerraSante is a mustard plant-derived wettable powder that feeds soil and soil microbes through plant proteins and carbohydrates, with the goal of improving microbial activity and long-term soil health.
The company said the Georgia registration strengthens commercial opportunities alongside its existing Florida approval, with both states' high-value crop acres seen as a natural fit for the product's performance in California.
Georgia is a significant agricultural state, ranking first among US states in peanut production in 2023 with US$762 million in cash receipts, second in pecans at $184 million, and third in blueberries at $156 million, though the company noted these rankings may or may not have a direct impact on MustGrow and its business.
MustGrow said demand is growing across registered states along the US West Coast.
Shares of MustGrow were up around 5.3% on Tuesday afternoon in Canada.
