First Phosphate confirms broad mineralization at Bégin-Lamarche

First Phosphate Corp. (CSE:PHOS, OTCQX:FRSPF, FRA:KD0, OTC:FPHOY) said on Monday that infill drilling at its Bégin-Lamarche property in Québec's Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region has confirmed extensive and continuous phosphate mineralization across all three major deposit zones, while also uncovering two previously unknown intersects that expand the project's footprint.

The recent campaign targeted the project’s Mountain, North and South zones and was designed to tighten the geological understanding of the area covered by its initial Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), published in September 2024.

Assay results from the program showed that mineralization is consistent throughout the existing resource horizon, supporting confidence in the scale and continuity of the deposit.

Drilling in the Mountain Zone returned several intervals exceeding 50 metres with grades above 10% P₂O₅ within broader composite intervals, along with massive apatite veins reaching up to 2 metres in thickness.

The Northern Zone highlighted the discovery of high-grade phosphate in down-dip continuity, with mineralogical and visual characteristics like the presence of massive apatite veins closely resembling those seen in the Mountain Zone. Several intervals there also exceeded 50 metres with grades above 10% P₂O₅.

The Southern Zone similarly showed high-grade phosphate in down-dip continuity with characteristics comparable to the Mountain Zone, with multiple intervals exceeding 50 metres grading above 6% P₂O₅.

The two new phosphate intersects, which are located outside the boundaries of the original MRE, suggest potential for resource growth when an updated estimate is completed, the company told shareholders.

First Phosphate said the new analytical data is being incorporated into a revised geological model, which the company expects to publish next month, which will form the basis of an updated mineral resource estimate.

The Bégin-Lamarche property is part of First Phosphate's broader strategy to develop a domestic North American supply of battery-grade lithium iron phosphate material, a cathode chemistry gaining traction in electric vehicle and energy storage markets.
