Trust Stamp partners with Partisia and Digital Platformer on decentralized identity platform for Asia-Pacific markets

Trust Stamp Inc (NASDAQ:IDAI, ISE:AIID) has announced a commercial agreement with Partisia and Digital Platformer to develop and deploy decentralized identity technologies aimed at financial services and other regulated sectors in Japan and broader Asia-Pacific markets.

The agreement brings together Trust Stamp's biometric identity systems and the secure computation infrastructure of Partisia as part of Digital Platformer’s next-generation identity platform.

The joint solution combines Trust Stamp’s biometric tokenization technology, referred to as Fuzzy IT², with Partisia’s multi-party computation (MPC) platform. In this architecture, biometric data is converted into a token on a user’s device and then processed using MPC techniques. The companies said this approach is designed so that no single party has access to complete biometric or identity data at any point during authentication.

Under the model described, biometric data is split into multiple encrypted shares distributed across MPC nodes. Matching and verification processes are performed without reconstructing the full dataset in a single location, which the companies say reduces reliance on centralised storage and associated security risks compared with traditional biometric systems.

Digital Platformer will integrate the combined technology into its identity platform and tailor implementation for different clients depending on their authentication and compliance requirements.

The initiative will initially focus on Japan, where ongoing digital transformation across sectors such as banking, insurance, healthcare and government has increased demand for secure and interoperable identity systems. The companies also noted similar challenges across the Asia-Pacific region, including rising cybersecurity risks, concerns over data privacy, and the limitations of existing authentication methods.

“This collaboration is grounded in a shared commitment to advancing both security and usability across the digital economy,” Trust Stamp CEO Gareth Genner said in a statement.

“By combining our tokenised biometric authentication with Partisia’s MPC infrastructure and Digital Platformer’s advanced platform, we are enabling a decentralised and integrated solution that strengthens regulatory compliance while opening new possibilities for organizations operating in increasingly complex technological and regulatory landscapes.”

Ikkei Matsuda, Digital Platformer CEO, said the partnership represents a significant step forward in redefining digital identity and financial security.

“Through this collaboration, we aim to provide a more secure and efficient authentication and transaction environment across industries such as finance, healthcare, and government, expanding the potential of decentralized technologies,” Matsuda said.

Shares of Trust Stamp gained over 2% on Thursday morning.
