Abacus Global Management (NYSE:ABX) announced a series of senior leadership appointments, naming a new chief accounting officer and chief investment officer as the alternative asset manager continues to expand its organizational structure.
The company said Alexei Solomon has been appointed chief accounting officer and treasurer, while Elena Plesco has been named chief investment officer.
Solomon, a certified public accountant with more than two decades of experience, currently serves as Abacus’ director of SEC reporting and technical accounting. He previously held roles at Verizon Communications and Vistana Signature Experiences, with experience spanning telecommunications, hospitality and financial services.
Plesco, who has over 15 years of finance and investment experience, most recently served as Abacus’ chief capital officer. Prior to joining the company, she was co-head of specialty finance at KKR, where she managed multi-billion-dollar asset-backed portfolios, and earlier worked in the investment banking division at JPMorgan.
Abacus said Samantha Butcher will continue in her role as president of Abacus Life Solutions, overseeing the company’s policy lifecycle from origination through servicing. Bill McCauley will remain chief financial officer and chief operating officer.
