capAI shares surge as generative content platforms prepare to go live

Shares in capAI PLC (LSE:CPAI) surged 37% to 0.95p on Tuesday as the LSE-listed artificial intelligence company announced the imminent launch of three generative content platforms and provided a strategic update ahead of its annual general meeting.

Game42, which allows users to convert text prompts or full-length books into interactive game experiences, is scheduled to go live this week alongside Movie42, a platform that transforms written inputs into cinematic, trailer-style video outputs.

The company also said it is progressing toward the hard launch of Author42, an AI-native writing platform covering fiction and memoir creation with advanced editing tools, designed to complement the Game42 and Movie42 ecosystem.

Executive chairman Professor Ronjon Nag said the transition of core platforms from development into live deployment represented a critical step in validating both their technical capability and commercial potential.

capAI said it is now entering a phase focused on user adoption, iterative improvement and commercial evaluation as it seeks to establish product-market fit across multiple verticals.

The company also said it continues to evaluate opportunities in AI-enabled longevity and healthcare through its capMedical initiative, though it cautioned that no commitments have been made and there is no guarantee any projects will proceed to full development.

capAI operates through a Licence and Option Agreement (LOA) framework, which allows it to develop multiple initiatives at relatively low cost while retaining the right to acquire or license technologies developed in collaboration with partner R42, deferring major capital commitments until commercial viability is established.

The board said the combination of imminent platform launches and a growing pipeline of opportunities under evaluation positions the company for its next phase of growth.
