M2i Global, Volato partner with Regenerate to expand battery recycling in US

M2i Global Inc (OTC:MTWO) said on Monday it has partnered with Volato Group Inc and Regenerate Technology Global to develop battery recycling facilities in the US, aiming to strengthen domestic supply chains for critical minerals and reduce reliance on traditional processing methods.

The companies said the collaboration will focus on deploying Regenerate’s hydrometallurgical recycling technology, which extracts and refines materials from used batteries using a lower-emissions, chemistry-based process.

The partners are currently evaluating potential US locations for new facilities, M2i Global said in a statement.

Regenerate’s process is designed to reduce waste and emissions compared with conventional smelting techniques, while producing materials suitable for reuse in new batteries. The company said its system can lower emissions by up to 85% and cut waste by about 90%, while also reducing production costs.

M2i said the partnership would support domestic recycling of battery materials, helping to improve supply chain resilience and lower manufacturing costs.

“Regenerate has demonstrated its proprietary processes and value-add in lead-acid battery recycling, lithium-ion battery recycling and alkaline battery recycling at its operations in Europe,” M2i CEO Alberto Rosende said. “We are excited to partner with Regenerate to bring battery recycling to the US.”

Regenerate, which already operates in Europe and is expanding into North America and Asia, said its approach focuses on regional production and integration with existing industrial networks.

“We are thrilled to partner with M2i,” said David Batstone, CEO of Regenerate Technology Global.

“Together, we are setting new standards for recycling and designs for next-generation mobile and storage batteries, while prioritizing ethical sourcing and renewable energy sustainability.”
