New Era Energy & Digital (NASDAQ:NUAI) announced that it has appointed Andy Casazza as chief corporate officer as the company expands its leadership team to support its data center and energy growth initiatives.
The company, which develops and operates digital infrastructure and integrated power assets in the Permian Basin, said the appointment is part of an expansion of its leadership team. The move follows the recent hiring of Ted Warner as chief financial officer.
In his new role, Casazza will oversee the integration of corporate strategy, capital planning, governance and operational execution. The company said his responsibilities will include supporting the advancement of Texas Critical Data Centers and other growth initiatives.
Casazza brings more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector, with a background spanning finance, operations, business development and capital formation.
He has held senior leadership roles in both public and private companies and has been involved in strategic transactions, operational scaling and enterprise planning. Most recently, he served as co-founder, chief financial officer and board member of Windy Cove Energy II and Pure Earth Plasma Holdings.
New Era said Casazza will act as a strategic coordinator across several functions, including business development, finance, legal, compliance and operations. He is expected to work closely with the executive team on joint ventures, project evaluation, partnerships and organizational planning.
“Andy brings a rare combination of operating, transactional and leadership experience developed over decades in the energy sector,” New Era CEO E Will Gray II said in a statement.
“He understands how to connect capital formation, project development, governance and execution with day-to-day decision-making. As we continue building a more institutional platform, Andy will help ensure partnership activity and operating priorities remain tightly aligned.”
Casazza expressed excitement about joining the company to support its next phase of growth. “New Era is building a differentiated platform at the intersection of power, infrastructure and digital demand."
As part of his employment agreement, the company’s board compensation committee approved an equity award for Casazza consisting of restricted stock units tied to 400,000 shares of common stock. The units will vest monthly over a four-year period, contingent on continued employment.
