Purepoint Uranium Group Inc (TSX-V:PTU, OTCQX:PTUUF, FRA:P5X0) earlier this week reported strong drilling results from its Dorado joint venture project, highlighting significant progress at the Nova uranium discovery.
The company’s CEO, Chris Frostad, said the latest campaign had successfully extended mineralization to approximately one kilometre, confirming the scale and continuity of the system.
Frostad noted that the Dorado project, operated in partnership with IsoEnergy, had rapidly evolved following its initial discovery phase, where grades exceeding 8% uranium were intersected in early drilling.
Frostad explained that the latest work focused on validating the repeatability of mineralization and improving geological understanding. He stated that the company had now identified key structural controls and mapped how the uranium system formed and extends along the property. According to Frostad, this work demonstrated that Nova represents “a significant mineralization event” within the district.
Importantly, drilling has returned consistent results across most holes. Frostad highlighted that the company is “finding mineralization, to some degree through most of these holes,” reinforcing confidence in the broader system. He also pointed to high radioactivity readings of up to 17,000–18,000 counts per second over nearly two metres, indicating the presence of strong uranium mineralization.
Looking ahead, Purepoint Uranium Group is preparing for its next exploration phase, which includes airborne MagnetoTellurics (MT) surveys across the Dorado project.
The company plans to resume drilling in late June, focusing on extending the Nova discovery further while also testing additional targets across the district.
