Optima Health beats profit forecasts by around 10% after strong second half and transformational acquisition

Optima Health PLC (AIM:OPT, OTC:OHLTF, FRA:J3N), the provider of technology-enabled corporate health and wellbeing services, has reported full-year adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) will be around 10% ahead of market expectations for the year ended 31 March 2026.

The beat follows a strong second-half performance and the completion of the PAM acquisition on 26 March, which the company says positions the enlarged group to capitalise on a growing occupational health market while delivering operational and cost synergies.

Optima is targeting £200 million in revenue and £40 million in adjusted EBITDA over the medium term, and says the PAM deal will help it reach those figures.

A previously disclosed procurement matter has now been settled, with £2.3 million of other operating income recognised in the first half of the financial year and a further £2.4 million in the second half.

Chief executive Jonathan Thomas said the result reflected "consistent progress" against the company's strategic objectives, describing the PAM acquisition as "transformational" and pointing to plans to expand in core markets and pursue new growth opportunities.

A full trading update is expected later in the second quarter of 2026.
