1911 Gold restores access to key level at True North Mine

1911 Gold Corp (TSX-V:AUMB, OTCQB:AUMBF, FRA:2KY) announced that it has re-established access to Level 26 at its True North mine in Manitoba, marking a step forward in preparations for a planned production restart in 2027.

The company reported that its ongoing dewatering program has lowered water levels to roughly four metres below Level 26, enabling crews to begin rehabilitation work in the area. Dewatering to the bottom of the shaft, including the loading pocket, is expected to be completed by the end of May.

Level 26 is considered a central part of the mine’s underground infrastructure. The loading pocket located on the level is used to move ore to the surface and is expected to play a role in upcoming test mining and bulk sampling activities planned for Level 16 later this year.

Re-accessing the level also provides entry to the high-grade 710–711 zone, as well as the D Shaft, which connects to deeper parts of the mine, including the Deep East zone. According to the company, this access will support both near-term drilling and longer-term resource expansion efforts.

CEO Shaun Heinrichs said the milestone is important both for logistical reasons and for enabling further evaluation of high-grade mineralization and deeper sections of the mine.

“Over the coming months, we will re-establish essential services and mobilize drill rigs to further expand the resource base in these areas,” Heinrichs said.

Work currently underway on Level 26 includes clearing the shaft area and repairing ventilation, compressed air, and electrical systems. Once dewatering is complete, the company plans to inspect and rehabilitate the loading pocket to support upcoming mining activities.

Separately, 1911 Gold reported progress at its surface facilities. Refurbishment of the mill is ongoing, with operations expected to begin in mid-2026, excluding a new crushing circuit scheduled for completion later in the year. The company has also expanded on-site accommodation capacity and is continuing to secure mining equipment for both test mining and a full operational restart.
