BioVie Inc (NASDAQ:BIVI, NASDAQ:BIVIW) said on Tuesday an abstract from its mid-stage study of experimental Parkinson’s disease treatment bezisterim has been accepted for presentation at an upcoming neurology conference.
The abstract, based on the company’s SUNRISE-PD trial evaluating bezisterim in patients with early Parkinson’s disease, will be presented at the American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting later this week.
The poster, titled “A Study of NE3107 (Bezisterim) in Early Parkinson's Disease (SUNRISE-PD): Baseline Demographics and Characteristics,” will outline initial data on enrolled patients. It is set to be presented during a session focused on emerging therapeutics for Parkinson’s disease on April 20.
BioVie, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing therapies for neurological and neurodegenerative disorders, said topline results from the SUNRISE-PD study are expected in mid-2026.
The American Academy of Neurology is one of the largest professional groups in the field, representing more than 44,000 neurologists and neuroscience professionals worldwide.
