Purepoint Uranium Group Inc (TSX-V:PTU, OTCQX:PTUUF, FRA:P5X0) said on Tuesday its winter 2026 drill program at the Dorado joint venture project in northern Saskatchewan successfully extended uranium mineralization at the Nova discovery, supporting the potential scale of the find.
The Vancouver-based explorer, which operates the project in a 50/50 partnership with IsoEnergy, completed nine drill holes totaling 5,210 metres within the Nova Zone in the Athabasca Basin, one of the world’s richest uranium regions.
The company said six of the nine holes intersected uranium mineralization, with downhole radiometric readings peaking at 73,100 counts per second (CPS). Standout intercepts included hole NV26-05, which returned an average of 17,700 CPS over 1.8 metres, including a higher-grade interval of 61,100 CPS over 0.3 metres.
Results from the program extended the mineralized system along a one-kilometre strike length and helped refine geological targets for future drilling, Purepoint said. The Nova discovery remains open along strike, at the unconformity and at depth.
The latest findings build on previously reported assay grades of up to 8.1% U₃O₈ from earlier drilling at Nova, though assays from the winter 2026 campaign are still pending.
"When evaluating the scale potential of a new discovery, tracking radioactivity across a one kilometre trend anchored by confirmed grades of up to 8.1% U3O8 is exactly what you want to see," said Chris Frostad, CEO.
"We now have the geological framework and confidence to drill more aggressively when we return. We are disciplined in how we've approach this target and the results are showing it. The mineralization remains open."
Purepoint said it will resume regional drilling at the Dorado project in late June, following an airborne MobileMT geophysical survey scheduled for the spring to support summer targeting.
