Sunda Energy PLC (AIM:SNDA) has taken its proposed New Zealand acquisition a step closer, paying a US$1.5 million initial deposit and filing the required change-of-control application with government authorities.
The AIM-listed group said the payment was made to Matahio Ventures, following its prior 8 April announcement on the conditional acquisition of Matahio Energy NZ Limited and its subsidiary companies.
Separately, Sunda said it has submitted an application for consent for the change of control of the operating companies tied to those permits, in line with the requirements of New Zealand’s Crown Minerals Act.
