Small cap Watch: Small Ordinaries dip as Nexus, Resolution, Lumos and Riversgold report project and funding updates

The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries (INDEXASX: XSO) closed at 3,433.10, down 46.60 points or 1.34% yesterday, but still up 43.10 points or 1.27% over the past 5 days. Against that mixed backdrop for small-cap stocks, several companies in the index have released operational and corporate updates. You can read about the following and more throughout the day.

Nexus Minerals

Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM, FRA:YAK) said RC drilling has commenced at its Wallbrook Gold Project, about 140km northeast of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The planned program comprises about 22,000 metres of RC drilling and is designed to support a material expansion of the project’s existing mineral resource inventory.

Resolution Minerals

Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX:RML, OTCQB:RLMLF, FRA:NC3) reported that an intermediate antimony trioxide product has been produced from large samples of stibnite from the Antimony Ridge open pits by Kingston Process Metallurgy in Ontario. Metallurgical test work is advancing on antimony-bearing stibnite veins, which have returned high-grade antimony results consistently above 30% and up to 50% Sb. Conventional pyrometallurgy test work is expected to provide base-case processing data, with initial tests focused on producing antimony trioxide as an intermediate product. Final product results are due in coming weeks, and several third parties have been approached regarding this processing option.

Lumos Diagnostics

Lumos Diagnostics Holdings Ltd (ASX:LDX, OTC:LDXHF) said it has received the US$5.0 million product pre-payment from US distribution partner PHASE Scientific under the terms of the distribution agreement announced on 16 July 2025. The company said receipt of the payment confirms that the US FDA’s 510(k) clearance with CLIA waiver for FebriDx, announced on 27 March 2026, satisfies the milestone requirements of the PHASE agreement.

Riversgold

Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL, FRA:RGV, OTC:RVSGF) said earn-in partner A.I.S Resources Limited plans to start a high-resolution helicopter-borne magnetic survey this week at the Saint John Gold/Copper/Silver/Antimony Project in New Brunswick, south-eastern Canada. A.I.S. has engaged Geo Data Solutions GDS Inc. of Laval, Quebec, to undertake the survey.
