Miivo Holdings: The AI platform offering a 24/7 consultant experience for SMEs

For small and medium-sized business owners, the promise of a virtual consultant that never sleeps is no longer science fiction. That’s the vision behind Miivo Holdings Corp (TSX-V:MIVO), an AI-powered platform designed to help businesses detect early warning signs, automate operations, and make smarter decisions in real time.

As CEO Alex Damouni explains, nearly 50% of small and medium-sized companies fail within the first five years. “Businesses don’t fail overnight, it’s a gradual progression,” Damoni told Proactive. “Our goal is to change that.”

At its core, Miivo consolidates financial, operational, and customer data into a single view, then delivers tailored recommendations. The AI ranks priorities based on importance and potential impact, providing actionable guidance without requiring owners to frame complex questions themselves. The platform pulls data from CRMs, accounting software, ERP systems, point-of-sale systems, and even external sources like social media, Damouni explains. From there, the platform can tell a business when ingredient costs are affecting margins, or when operational inefficiencies need immediate attention.

Miivo serves two primary customer segments. One consists of businesses struggling with operational or financial issues, which require targeted solutions. The other is made up of companies that have grown beyond manual reporting systems, where automation and AI-driven insights provide the greatest benefit. “Our motto is simple: we meet you where you are,” Damouni said. “Whether a company is just starting out or scaling operations, we provide the solutions they need, tailored to their stage and challenges.”

The company offers a range of engagement options. Its Miivo Starter plan provides a self-service experience for owners who prefer to navigate the platform independently. For those seeking closer collaboration, Miivo’s managed services offer customized solutions, including fractional support for finance, operations, and growth initiatives.

Miivo is also pursuing expansion through strategic acquisition. The company is in the final stages of acquiring Tandem Partners, which will extend its geographic footprint and enable new managed service offerings. The acquisition is expected to positively impact our top line by increasing customer repeatability, Damouni said. “It’s our first step in broadening the distribution and scope of our services.”

The platform initially launched in India and the Middle East, but Miivo is now building presence in North America, with clients in the US and Canada, and seeing early adoption in Europe. Customers span a wide range of industries, from food and beverage and retail to professional services and manufacturing, demonstrating the platform’s versatility.

Miivo targets the largely underserved SME market, which represents roughly 90% of global businesses. Damouni, along with his CTO and CFO, bring decades of experience working directly with SMEs. Their backgrounds in technology deployment, fractional finance services, and company restructuring inform the platform’s design and outputs.

“The information that's being put together is not just dependent on what's out there in the universe, but also based on our own personal experiences,” Damouni said. “That's why we really have a strong founder market fit in the SME space, because we’ve all operated in it.”

Miivo’s approach to AI is deliberately different from general-purpose models like ChatGPT. Instead of requiring users to ask precise questions, the platform aggregates multiple data sources to generate business-specific guidance. Automated workflows then help owners act on those insights without manual intervention. For example, a food and beverage company might receive alerts when ingredient costs fluctuate beyond set thresholds, along with actionable advice on pricing, product offerings, or inventory adjustments. Similar workflows are applied to manufacturing and retail, providing operational efficiency across sectors. Once a workflow is built for one customer, it can be productized for other businesses with similar needs, allowing Miivo to scale its offerings efficiently.

Financially, Miivo is debt-free and trades at a valuation discount to AI SaaS peers, which positions it for growth. The platform currently supports over 3,000 users globally, a number that continues to rise. Each new user helps train the AI, making it increasingly tailored to specific industries and operational challenges. This real-world validation reduces risk when launching new products and ensures solutions are immediately relevant.

Looking ahead, Miivo plans to continue building its self-service suite while exploring AI-driven tools such as automated sales agents, which can prospect, analyze demand, and generate qualified leads. By focusing on business challenges as they emerge, the company can rapidly deploy productized solutions that address immediate pain points for SMEs.

At its heart, Miivo is mission-driven. “When I lived in downtown Toronto after the pandemic, the number of businesses that never reopened was staggering,” Damouni recalls. “That experience was a catalyst. If we can improve the survival rate of SMEs, even by a fraction, that’s meaningful. Everything we build aligns with that goal, giving small and medium-sized businesses a real fighting chance to survive, grow, and thrive.”

For investors, the case is clear: Miivo offers exposure to the global SME segment through a scalable AI SaaS platform with a growing user base, productized automation, and expanding geographic reach. Its combination of practical experience, AI-driven insights, and debt-free balance sheet provides a differentiated pathway to long-term growth in an underpenetrated market.
