EV Resources advances Mexico antimony hub toward near-term production

EV resources Ltd (ASX:EVR) has progressed multiple workstreams across its Mexico Antimony Hub, with exploration, drilling and plant refurbishment activities advancing in parallel as the company targets near-term production.

At the 70%-owned Los Lirios Antimony Project in Oaxaca, geophysical surveys including CSAMT and ground magnetics have commenced across the Lirios 1 and Lirios 2 prospects to refine structural controls and generate new drill targets.

The company has also completed 11 diamond drill holes at Lirios 1, with assays pending, marking the first systematic drilling campaign at the project. Early work has identified high-grade surface mineralisation of up to 30.2% antimony, alongside a newly recognised shallow San Miguel vein, which provides additional near-surface targets.

EV Resources said around 90% of the Los Lirios project area remains unexplored, including nearly 5 kilometres of the prospective Lirios Fault Zone, highlighting significant upside potential.

“The commencement of geophysical surveys is a big step in unlocking the antimony potential of Los Lirios. CSAMT has been chosen as the most appropriate method given presence of stibnite as the dominant sulphide associated with mainly quartz. We are expecting the detailed survey over the initial high-priority prospects to provide an extremely valuable tool," EV Resources CEO, Mike Brown, said.

"Combining findings from the survey with results from current drilling will allow us to calibrate results and establish a fingerprint we can use in immediate drill targeting, as well as establishing it as an ideal exploration tool. With nearly 5 kilometres of the highly prospective LFZ still to be tested in any detail outside of the current drilling prospects, as well as 90% of the property unexplored, this could unlock an extremely efficient and useful tool for drill targeting and antimony discovery at Lirios. Activities at Tecomatlán are progressing, which is very pleasing given the plant’s importance to our strategy of reaching near-term production.”

The Mexico Antimony Hub combines Los Lirios with the nearby Tecomatlán processing plant in Puebla, located about 50 kilometres from the project, forming the basis of the company’s North American antimony supply strategy.

Geophysics, drilling and plant work to drive next phase

The ongoing geophysical program is expected to support drill targeting across the broader project, with results to be integrated alongside drilling data to build a mineralisation model and expand the inventory of drill-ready targets.

At the same time, refurbishment of the Tecomatlán plant is underway, with a 5-week program focused on recommissioning the grinding circuit and associated infrastructure. The plant is expected to be operational in 2H2026 and is central to EV Resources’ plan to achieve early production by processing third-party ore before transitioning to Los Lirios material.

Near-term work will focus on completing and interpreting geophysical surveys, advancing drilling and awaiting assay results, as well as progressing plant refurbishment activities.

The company is also planning further exploration across its broader portfolio, including soil sampling programs at its Nevada projects and engagement with US government agencies as it advances its antimony supply strategy.
