NewPeak Metals Ltd (ASX:NPM, OTC:NPMFF, FRA:NPM) managing director Mark Purcell talked with Proactive about upcoming drilling at the Las Opeñas Gold Project in Argentina, as well as near-term catalysts across the company’s broader portfolio.
Purcell said the company is preparing to begin drilling within weeks at its 100% owned Las Opeñas Gold Project in San Juan Province, describing it as a highly prospective area within “one of South America's premier gold districts.”
In addition to activities in Argentina, the company is awaiting assay results from recent drilling at the Tansey Gold Project in south-east Queensland. Around 1,200 metres of diamond drilling has been completed, targeting extensions of a historic underground gold mine. Results are expected in mid to late April.
Purcell outlined multiple near-term catalysts, including Las Opeñas drilling progress updates expected in May to June and initial assay results anticipated between July and August.
